Night falls outside the window.
White snow blankets the forest in silence,
As thick wooden walls stand guard against the icy frost.
Inside, the hearth glows softly, the wood crackling
With a gentle snap—
A quiet reminder to time itself:
There is no need for haste here.
Light spills across the chairs and tables;
Everything is just as it should be.
No words are spoken,
Yet one feels that all is prepared.
This is not a night for celebration,
Nor a night for escape.
